A commercial Gas Engineer is required. Our client is a specialist mobile services company covering air conditioning, electrical, gas & heating and mechanical. There growing team of highly skilled engineers cover London, Greater London and South of England. This role will predominantly be based around Surrey but the incumbent will be required to travel across Kent and South London.
On offer for the commercial gas Engineer is a permanent full-time role paying up to £45,000 per year + pension working during 8am to 5pm (Mon-Fri) with one hour for lunch and paid overtime – out of hours working, weekends and bank holidays. We also supply a company van, mobile phone, full uniform and specialist tools
The role of the commercial gas engineer is to provide a variety of general maintenance and reactive services and corrective works on buildings, plant and site
ï‚ Perform testing and inspecting of mechanical systems in accordance with industry standards
ï‚ Ensure that all plant and systems are maintained and operated in order to provide maximum
efficiency, availability and reliability
ï‚ carry out remedial and/or refurbishment works arising from breakdown or maintenance
inspections
ï‚ Implement all mechanical maintenance and corrective works on the site in accordance with
maintenance Instructions
ï‚ carry out minor new works installations and testing
Skills and experience
Qualified and experienced (5+ years post-qualified) and have excellent communication skills.
Full current driving licence with no more than 3 points.
The successful commercial gas engineer should ideally possess the following gas qualifications
BMP1 Boosters, low pressure
CCN1 core domestic gas safety assessment criteria
CDGA1 commission service repair & breakdown of commercial direct fired heating appliances & equipment
CIGA1 commission service repair & breakdown of commercial indirect fired heating here appliances & equipment
CODNCO1 changeover domestic natural gas to commercial NG
CORT1 commission service repair & breakdown of gas fired commercial overhead luminous radiant plaque & radiant tube heaters (not essential)
CPA1 combustion performance analysis
ICPN1 installation of commercial pipework
TPCP1A testing & purging of low pressure commercial pipework
Candidates who have non-gas qualifications or experience such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC, in addition will be preferred. Oil and LPG qualifications/experience are also highly desirable
